The role is designed to oversee the management of parts, aligning with the strategic objectives of claims and assessing. To motivate and develop team members to achieve individual and team goals, and contribute to change and improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Improve key parts outcomes for the business by sourcing parts per vehicle and achieving net savings as a result of part sourcing.
- Visit business partners and vet suppliers in support of parts cost optimisation.
- Develop appropriate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the part function, focusing on financial performance indicators.
- Manage team members effectively, ensuring they are engaged, skilled, and practicing company values.
- Establish regular communication forums, such as team meetings and work-in-progress discussions.
- Cross-train team members to maintain a flexible workforce.
- Create and manage tools for monitoring productivity, workload allocation, and quality outcomes.
- Coordinate process and systems training, and refreshers as required.
- Foster a strong customer focus, both internal and external.
- Support change and process improvement initiatives.
- Handle internal escalations, queries, and troubleshooting.
- Contribute to project activities as needed.
- Undertake recruitment activities as required.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop others to achieve team results.
- Insurance industry experience, particularly in assessing and or parts, is preferred.
- Proven problem-solving skills in complex environments.
- Able to challenge the status quo and recommend solutions that produce results.
- Strong relationship-building skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Sound analytical and reporting capabilities.
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Able to influence and implement change successfully.
- Manage conflict and negotiate as required.
