About the Role

Deaf Connect is seeking a highly skilled Customer Bookings Officer to provide exceptional customer service and interpreter booking services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality customer service, ensuring timely and accurate administration of interpreter bookings, and providing advice and education to new clients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Allocate interpreter requests to permanent and casual interpreters
  • Liaise and negotiate with customers to determine appointment timing
  • Provide guidance and support to new clients on interpreter booking procedures
  • Respond to phone calls, emails, and online requests in a professional and timely manner

About You

We are looking for a candidate with excellent administrative, organisational, and time management skills, as well as strong engagement and communication skills. You should be able to meet targets and deadlines, work autonomously, and develop partnerships with multiple stakeholders. Knowledge of the Deaf community, language, and culture is highly desirable.
