Key Quality Expert

This role involves working in a team environment to develop and deploy quality processes that meet customer requirements.

  • Reviews and analyses proposals, contracts, regulatory, program and customer requirements to ensure early quality involvement in program development.
  • Develops and maintains quality directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics to ensure compliance with contract, customer, regulatory requirements and international standards.
  • Conducts research, compiles and analyses performance reports and process control statistics to continuously improve process capability.
  • Conducts quality source selection and process reviews of suppliers' ability to meet program quality requirements and supports business decisions.
  • Conducts hardware, software and system level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards and configuration assurance.
  • Analyses data to provide material review dispositions for nonconforming materials, parts and equipment.
Requirements

Essential

  • 5+ years' experience in quality management or equivalent qualification and/or commensurate level of professional knowledge and experience.
  • Hands-on mentality with the ability to proactively and independently resolve issues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to effectively engage, communicate with and influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and time manage in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to coach, develop and encourage personal and professional development.
  • Professional oral and written communication skills.
  • Australian Citizenship to obtain and maintain an Australian Department of Defence clearance.
