Project Executive

We are seeking a skilled Project Executive to lead the start-up of our new mine in the Hunter Valley. This exciting opportunity offers a chance to build and be part of something new.

The Maxwell Underground Mine targets high-quality coal, with production planned at up to 8 million tonnes per annum. As Project Executive, you will oversee various projects from scoping to close-out, ensuring works are delivered to desired quality and design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of project scope, costing, planning, execution, and close-out
  • Facilitation of design of services infrastructure and interaction with various disciplines
  • Management of contractor and sub-contractor interactions
  • Maintenance of safe working conditions through regular inspections and improvements
  • Support for mining operations commencement with other stakeholders

Requirements:

  • 10+ years experience as an engineer in a mining environment
  • Completed Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) qualification or extensive trade experience
  • Ability to interpret and manage active project schedules
  • High computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft software packages
  • Safety and environmental leadership behaviour
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure
  • Experience working on the client side in a mining environment
