Job Title: Direct Care Worker

We are seeking experienced and compassionate Direct Care Workers to join our team at the Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network. As a Direct Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents in a residential care setting.

About the Role:

This is a casual position, with multiple opportunities available. You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, providing direct client service to residents, reporting and recording observations, and identifying diversional therapy needs. You will also be responsible for providing diversional therapy to individuals and/or groups in accordance with established programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct client service to residents, including reporting and recording observations
  • Identify diversional therapy needs and provide diversional therapy to individuals and/or groups
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure high-quality care and support
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance your skills and knowledge
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • AQF Certificate III relevant to the position
  • Current first aid certificate
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Compassion and empathy for residents
