We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Care Worker to join our team at Barmera Health Service. As a Direct Care Worker, you will provide high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities- Provide assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with mobility and dexterity, including transfers and repositioning
- Support residents with toileting and continence management
- Prepare and serve meals, and assist with feeding
- Contribute to resident assessment and recording general observations
- Identify diversional therapy needs and complete routine documentation
- AQF Certificate III relevant to the position
- Experience in providing direct care services in a health-related field
- Ability to work with aged, frail, or disabled persons
- Proficiency in using computer packages, such as Microsoft Word and Excel
