Job Overview

This is an exciting career opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to become a skilled tradesperson in mechanical fitting.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will work within a busy manufacturing environment, taking part in safety initiatives and learning industry best practice for preventative maintenance and breakdown activities.
  • Develop skills in using hand tools, electrical and pneumatic powered tools and equipment, lathes and other machining equipment to manufacture components prior to assembly or fitting.
  • Gain experience in welding (TIG, MIG, MMA), sheet metal fabrication and working in a workshop environment and on the production floor.
Requirements
  • A strong foundation in engineering principles, gained through completing school-based modules or equivalent work experience in a similar trade.
  • A genuine interest in developing mechanical fitting skills.
  • Good knowledge of tooling, materials and mechanical aptitude.
