Job Description

As an Apprentice Maintenance Fitter (Mechanical), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and collaborating with other teams to achieve our goals.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining and repairing equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
  • Identifying and addressing potential safety hazards in the workplace
  • Collaborating with other teams to resolve technical issues and improve processes
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A genuine interest in learning a mechanical fitting trade
  • Basic knowledge of tooling, materials, and mechanical aptitude
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach
  • Strong mathematical and English attributes
  • Intermediate IT skills with regards to Windows-based operating systems

About the Role

This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to learn a skilled maintenance trade and develop a diverse skill set in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will have the chance to work on a wide range of equipment and machinery, including conveyors, high-speed packing equipment, freezer tunnels, pumps, gearboxes, fryers, pneumatics, and process line fixed plant.
