Cemetery Maintenance Specialist
Role Summary:As a Cemetery Maintenance Specialist, you will lead a team responsible for maintaining and enhancing council-controlled cemeteries within Brisbane. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has attention to detail, and takes pride in their work.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team of grounds maintenance staff to maintain and enhance council-controlled cemeteries
- Operate various mowing equipment safely and efficiently, including lawn mowers and trimmers
- Maintain and perform regular inspections on equipment to ensure it is in good working order
- Ensure lawns and green spaces are maintained to a high standard through regular mowing and edging
- Complete service requests as required, such as pruning trees and shrubs
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times
- Previous experience in lawn maintenance, with cemetery experience highly regarded
- A valid manual driver's license
- A white card (construction induction training card)
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team and/or individually
- Be punctual and reliable, with a strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks efficiently and to the highest standards
