Reliability Engineer Role Overview

This role presents a unique opportunity to provide reliability engineering support, conduct data analysis, lead improvement and safety projects, and drive defect elimination for our Ore Processing Facility (OPF).

Your expertise in mechanical or reliability engineering will be crucial in ensuring sustained asset performance while meeting operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver reliability engineering support by reviewing and implementing strategies to improve plant reliability and uptime.
  • Conduct failure analysis and implement corrective actions to minimize recurrence.
  • Complete defect elimination actions in collaboration with other departments and suppliers.
  • Provide breakdown support and reporting, including technical advice, recovery planning, and investigation/flash reports.
  • Support shutdowns by solving implementation issues and ensuring schedules are maintained.
  • Identify and deliver cost-saving initiatives (Eureka projects) to reduce operational expenditure.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical or Reliability Engineering or trade qualification with relevant industry experience as a Technical Officer.
  • Experience in a fixed plant or heavy industry environment (site-based Maintenance or Reliability experience preferred).
  • Strong planning, problem-solving, organisational, scheduling, and coordination skills.
  • Proficient in SAP and familiar with work management systems.
  • Competent in MS Office Suite and Navisworks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
