The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team in Sydney. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual to take their career to the next level.

About the Role

This role will be responsible for performing various traditional quantity surveying functions, including estimating, planning, and cost management. You will work closely with clients, architects, and main contractors to identify opportunities for value creation and deliver accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Identifying and facilitating new business opportunities to drive growth and revenue.
  • Developing and implementing cost plans and budgets to meet client requirements.
  • Providing expert advice on cost management and risk assessment.
  • Preparing and presenting tender evaluations and contract negotiations.
  • Cash flow projects and procurement services.
  • Procurement and contract administration.
  • Value engineering and cost optimization.
  • Evaluation of variations and final account reporting.
  • Claims preparation, presentation, negotiation, and settlement.
  • Investment analysis and benchmarking processes.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • Full Australian working rights and current location in Australia.
  • RICS / AIQS accreditation highly regarded.
  • Proficient in Cost X software.
  • Strong understanding of the total project life cycle.
  • Motivated and passionate about delivering excellence to clients.
  • Excellent communication and team management skills.
