Job Title: VP - Corporate Finance

Join our team as a VP - Corporate Finance and play a pivotal role in supporting the Regional Head of Corporate Finance – Asia Pacific, to build out the Corporate Finance business in Australia.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Finance professional to join our team in Sydney, Australia. As a VP - Corporate Finance, you will be responsible for providing senior support of both M&A and Equity Private Placement (EPP) transactions primarily in the Energy Transition sector, covering Asia Pacific with a key focus on Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Originate new and existing clients and support the execution of M&A and EPP deal transactions in the Energy sector.
  2. Hold a key leadership/coordination role in the transaction execution process on a day-to-day basis.
  3. Perform financial modeling including valuation and pricing analyses.
  4. Prepare and deliver presentations, pitchbooks, and marketing materials.
  5. Drive the initiation of new client relationships and expand the business franchise across industries.
  6. Assist in maintaining strong client relations during and after the deal execution process.
  7. Work in collaboration with other team members as well as colleagues from the financing business lines based locally and overseas.
  8. Provide guidance and development of junior team members including appropriate delegation and review of tasks.
  9. Maintain strong connectivity with the market, understanding the needs of the different corporate clients and industry groups, leveraging market intelligence to provide feedback internally and improve capabilities within the team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or master's Degree or equivalent.
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in M&A or Investment Banking.
  • Proven capability building strong relationships with corporate clients.
  • Strong technical knowledge of M&A transactions, modeling, and analytics.
  • Strong ability in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Power Point and Excel.
