Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and develop electrical systems and equipment in accordance with contractual and company requirements. The successful candidate will be accountable for progression and management of electrical engineering projects from inception to incorporation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development and review of electrical engineering design documentation
  • Progression and management of electrical engineering projects from inception to incorporation
  • Electrical engineering technical projects include (not limited to): power generation systems, generator control system design, hazardous areas assessment and design, arc flash assessments, programmable logic controller program and design, instrumentation and control design, solar and battery energy storage systems design, site electrical assessments, earthing system design and testing, condition based monitoring, arc flash assessments, UPS design

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in electrical and electronics engineering
  • Experience in projects related to power plants, substations or generator systems
  • Experience in electrical circuit design, including protection schemes and relays
  • Relevant power generation electrical system design knowledge
  • Background working in a technical regulatory framework
  • Experience in developing detailed engineering work packages
