Senior Power Systems Specialist

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Power Systems Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary project team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality engineering outcomes in the design lifecycle of greenfield and brownfield projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop technical specifications, equipment sizing, and perform calculations for electrical installations.
- Prepare detailed design deliverables, including commissioning and handover reports.
- Engage with stakeholders to provide innovative solutions to complex challenges in brownfield projects.
Requirements
- A tertiary degree in Electrical Engineering with a strong understanding of engineering fundamentals.
- At least 5 years of experience in heavy industry projects, such as Mining, Oil & Gas, Power Generation, and Distribution.
- RPEQ certification is advantageous, and Chartered Engineer status or working towards it is desired.
- A working knowledge of Australian Standards and experience in power system studies (Load Flow, Short Circuit, Arc Flash, relay coordination, and earthing design) is highly desirable.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to ask questions and find optimal solutions.
- Relevant experience working in Australia.
