
Animal Services Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to lead our Animal Rehoming Centre and Ranger teams.
This is a key leadership role that requires a strong background in people management, animal welfare, and regulatory enforcement.
The successful candidate will be responsible for motivating and developing staff, managing resources efficiently, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
They will also drive best practice in animal welfare and regulatory enforcement, and provide technical and policy advice to stakeholders.

Key Requirements- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and at least 7 years experience suitable to the role
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop staff in a multi-disciplinary team
- Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering strategic plans to meet organisational objectives
- High level of customer service skills, including an ability to deal with difficult customers
- Demonstrated negotiation/conflict resolution, problem solving and decision-making skills relating to sensitive and complex matters in a political environment
- Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders to assist with adoption and rehoming of animals
- Intermediate to advanced user of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and web-based systems
- Excellent written and oral communications skills, including ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders
- Demonstrated skills in statutory interpretation and the preparation of policies and procedures
- Class C NSW Drivers Licence
- Salary: $1880.90 to $1976.12 gross per week (dependent on skills, qualifications and experience) plus superannuation
- Rostered day off once every three weeks
- Leaseback vehicle with full private use
