Animal Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and effectively implementing various Acts and Rules.
The role requires flexibility, a willingness to work collaboratively, and demonstrated competence in animal care and control, as well as dealing with difficult customers.
Key Requirements- A current Class C NSW Driver's Licence
- An HSC or equivalent work experience in a relevant industry
- Knowledge of compliance and enforcement matters in a Local Government context
- The ability to read, understand, apply, and enforce legislation, policies, and guidelines
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution, consultation, negotiation, and customer service skills
- Well-developed written communication skills, including completing forms, maintaining records, and writing investigative reports
- Demonstrated experience in animal handling
This position requires a criminal history check and a pre-employment health assessment, which includes a functional, audio, and drug & alcohol screen.
Working ArrangementsThe position is full-time (38 hours per week) with an RDO every 3 weeks. The role may require working some weekends and being available for on-call duties on a rostered basis.
