About the Role

  • We are seeking a strategic procurement professional to lead our Corporate Services team in delivering innovative solutions that support business growth, mitigate commercial and operational risk, and drive innovation through strategic supplier collaboration.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in relevant procurement categories (HR and/or Facilities and/or Energy Categories) and a track record of effective supplier relationship management and procurement risk management. They will be able to work collaboratively with business stakeholders to deliver efficient, scalable solutions that support company growth, mitigate commercial and operational risk, and drive innovation through strategic supplier collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of strategic sourcing direction for Corporate Services.
  • Manage the procurement team for Group Corporate Services and interact with business units at a group level across the Sky Group.
  • Develop and execute a robust governance framework for core strategic vendors to proactively identify and manage supplier, contractual, operational, and sustainability risks across Corporate Services.
  • Drive SRM for core strategic vendors, strengthening partnerships to drive innovation, manage risk, and optimize commercial and operational performance.
  • Build category and vendor strategies that will drive synergies across Sky Group and across Comcast and NBCU.

Requirements:

  • Proven Procurement experience in relevant procurement categories (HR and/or Facilities and/or Energy Categories).
  • Experience of working in a global / pan-European function, managing varying demands and needs within a single project.
  • Proven experience in effective supplier relationship management and procurement risk management.
  • Open to cross-category and cross-company collaboration and growth as part of a dynamic, enterprise-wide procurement function.
  • Highly motivated professional with a proactive approach.
  • Excellent relationship building/management, negotiating skills, commercial acumen, organisational, presentational, prioritisation and project management skills.
  • Creative thinking – initiative and enthusiasm in finding new sourcing approaches to balance operational and commercial pressures.
  • Ability to put relevant structure around the decision-making process and ensure all options are understood in relation to the business requirements.
  • Ability to manage a variety of projects and expectations.
