Your day will involve recommending and assessing negotiation strategies with internal stakeholders, negotiating rates with logistics suppliers, and tracking price reviews and contract renewals.
This is a genuine opportunity to work for a respected Australian corporate in a role that spans the entire Boral business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Recommend, assess, and align negotiation strategies with internal stakeholders
- Negotiate rates with logistics suppliers in conjunction with the Logistics Manager
- Track, audit, and maintain a program of price reviews, contract renewals, and Go to Market (RFP) plans
- Ongoing supplier and contract management, including rate review cycles, KPIs, and SLAs
- Validate and ensure legal and contractual obligations are met as per local and national legislations
- Recommend commercial terms and conditions in new contracts, negotiate, and update contracts
- Provide tactical and strategic advice related to the procurement of logistics services and conduct supplier search, shortlisting, tendering, and contract negotiation
- Organize, execute, and manage Steerco and working group meetings
Key requirements include:
- Relevant logistics procurement experience in a large national organization working with multiple stakeholders
- Highly analytical and competent at using analytical tools to interpret information and provide insights/recommendations
- Good knowledge in procurement processes and techniques
- Drive for results and ability to make tough value-based decisions
