Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Strategic Procurement Specialist to play a pivotal role in driving procurement and finance initiatives that directly support our objectives to improve public health outcomes. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders to plan, develop, source, and manage procurement and contract processes, ensuring alignment with organisational goals, budget constraints, and strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to meet the needs of our portfolio of programs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Manage and coordinate procurement activities, including tendering, contracting, and contract management.
  • Provide high-level policy advice and recommendations on complex procurement and contract management issues.
  • Contribute to the development of financial plans and budgets, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and budget constraints.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience in procurement and contract management.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing leadership and direction to staff, coaching or training.
  • Superior organisational skills and capacity to successfully manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality products within agreed timeframes and budgets.
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex information rapidly and accurately.
  • Strong oral and written communication and facilitation skills, with demonstrated capacity to consult and negotiate effectively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively in a team environment.

This role offers a competitive salary package, with an estimated annual salary range of $120,859 - $133,183, plus superannuation and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.
