Lead Data Architect

We seek a seasoned data architect to spearhead our organisation's analytics infrastructure. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced professional to take ownership of designing, developing and maintaining data practices that drive business outcomes.

As the lead data architect, you will be responsible for:

  1. Designing and implementing end-to-end data solutions that meet business needs.
  2. Maintaining high-performance analytics infrastructure and dashboards using a variety of tools.
  3. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to determine where to measure success and driving data quality, reporting, insights, and remediation.
  4. Integrating data from diverse sources for consistency and reliability.
  5. Building and maintaining efficient data pipelines for ETL into data warehouses or data lakes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Strong technical expertise in data architecture and engineering.
  2. Excellent collaboration and stakeholder-focused mindset.
  3. Strong SQL data wrangling skills.
  4. Experience with a data modeling tool like dbt.
  5. Experience in Python or R programming languages.
  6. Familiarity with modern event data stacks (e.g., Segment, Amplitude, Looker Studio, BigQuery, Google Analytics, AWS/GCP).
  7. Solid grounding in mathematics and statistics.
  8. Strong visualization and numeric communication skills.
  9. Exposure to data systems supporting machine learning and database migration/modernisation.
