Disability Support Role Overview

Careers in disability support are highly regarded and provide a solid foundation for individuals who wish to make a positive impact on people's lives.

As a disability support worker, you will be working with individuals who require assistance with daily tasks, such as community access, developing independent living skills, and participating in activities.

This role offers flexibility and variety, with shifts available 7 days per week across the day.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist participants with daily tasks and activities
  • Support individuals to achieve their goals and live independently
  • Develop and maintain relationships with participants, their families, and other stakeholders

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 6 months paid experience supporting individuals with disabilities
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check or willingness to obtain
  • Working with Children's Check or willingness to obtain
  • First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certificates
  • Medication Administration Assistance certificate and practical experience
  • Two relevant professional reference checks

Favourably regarded: Cert IV in a relevant field.
