At our organization, we are dedicated to providing top-notch disability services that empower individuals to live fulfilling lives. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting clients with daily tasks and promoting their independence.
Job Responsibilities:
We are seeking a compassionate and people-centered individual to join our team as a Disability Support Worker. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing personal care and support to clients with disabilities
- Assisting with feeding through PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy)
- Transferring clients using hoists
- Repositioning clients to prevent pressure sores
- Providing suctioning support and wound care
- Encouraging social participation and community engagement
Requirements and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Certificate III or IV in Disability (or the ability to obtain one)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children check, and Police check
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
