- Develop, implement, and regularly review strategic HR initiatives to align with operational needs.
- Spearhead workforce planning, talent acquisition, onboarding, and staff development across multiple departments.
- Ensure fair and effective hiring processes, comprehensive employee orientation, and training programs.
- Design and manage performance evaluation systems to assess employee and team outcomes, and implement improvement plans as needed.
- Provide guidance to managers in handling staff matters, promoting respectful workplace relationships and conflict resolution.
- Collaborate with employees and unions to negotiate pay, conditions, and agreements.
- Oversee employee relations, manage disciplinary procedures, and ensure confidentiality and legal compliance.
- Establish and maintain safety protocols, ensuring adherence to WHS legislation and equal opportunity employment law requirements.
- Handle restructuring and redundancy processes with sensitivity.
- Monitor staff costs and productivity for a cost-effective workforce.
- Support payroll processes and HR reporting, maintaining accurate records.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field.
- At least 1 year of HR experience, preferably in logistics, waste management, or transport sectors.
- Strong understanding of Australian employment law, industrial awards, and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- High integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with online HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
