Job Title: Employee Experience Specialist

This role will support a range of generalist human resource functions, including learning & development, performance management, and Workplace Health & Safety with a focus on recruitment and onboarding.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advice, guidance, and driving projects to implement strategic and operational initiatives in the HR space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attract applicants using a variety of traditional and contemporary resourcing platforms and technologies.
  • Work closely with managers and the rostering officer to proactively plan recruitment understanding the business requirements and plan activity accordingly.
  • Welcome and induct new employees to ensure they understand their role and how they contribute to the organisation's mission, vision, and purpose and provide them with the necessary information to help them assimilate into their new role.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends, federal and state employment legislation to ensure compliance.
  • Continuous process improvement to ensure an efficient way of working.
  • Contribute to HR projects in line with P&C strategy.
  • Promote employee engagement and retention initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist providing industrial relations advice and experience in the recruitment space with a strong emphasis on diversity and inclusion.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise workload whilst working on a variety of tasks across the broad spectrum of Human Resources.
  • Experience in working with integrated Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and technology platforms.
  • Knowledge and understanding of WHS legislation and standards with a good understanding of employee wellbeing practices and mental health.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills to generate positive outcomes and ability to communicate sensitively and effectively.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality at all times.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Self-starter whilst also able to work within a team environment and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Strong MS Office skills and proficiency in other software applications.
