Job Title: Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Compliance Specialist to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our Compliance function, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our business.

The successful candidate will have experience in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance and be able to demonstrate a proven track record in managing regulatory compliance obligations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and continuously improve local regulatory compliance frameworks to ensure all regulatory requirements are met;
  • Anticipate local AML obligations and risks, and ensure these are addressed in a practical way;
  • Lead regulatory engagements and manage relationships with Australian regulators around AML risks;
  • Represent the Compliance function on workstreams and industry bodies to develop regulatory strategies;
  • Oversee daily operations of our AML/CFT programme, including reporting to AUSTRAC and responding to regulator enquiries;
  • Act as the internal contact point for employee information on possible money laundering;
  • Report on our AML/CFT programme to the Management Board and submit the Annual Compliance Report to AUSTRAC.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in AML Compliance;
  • Strong understanding of Australian regulatory requirements;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to analyze complex data and provide recommendations;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
