About the Role
As GM Payroll Services, you will lead a critical function, overseeing payroll operations for 3500 employees in a complex environment that consists of 12 industrial instruments and is experiencing significant growth and change. Ensuring alignment with the organisation's strategic goals, your leadership will be essential in delivering major initiatives, including the up-coming HRIS implementation which will be crucial for improving payroll efficiency and scaling the function to support VMCH's growth. Leading a team of 8, you will foster a collaborative culture of excellence, communication, and development, and as VMCH expands through mergers and acquisitions, you will ensure the payroll function meets the complexities of multi-state operations, enabling seamless integration and process improvement.
About You
You are a suitably qualified, experienced and strategic payroll leader with a proven track record in driving change and implementing large-scale HRIS projects. With a strong background in managing payroll functions in complex organisations, you will bring demonstrated expertise in payroll legislation, industrial agreements, and multi-award environments along with the leadership capability to inspire, engage, and develop a high-performing team. A strategic mindset and hands-on approach, comfortable with both high-level decision-making and operational execution will be critical along with proven experience in leading system implementations and navigating business transformation. You thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments and are passionate about process improvement, collaboration, and delivering outstanding results.
