Senior Payroll Officer

AusNet Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Payroll & Wage Compliance team, you will play a critical role in delivering a successful fortnightly pay cycle, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Key Responsibilities:- Process payroll for multiple companies, including Autopays, timesheet employees, pay run reconciliations, terminations, STP lodgement, reporting, audits, and query management.
- Provide payroll business support, including creating new starters, estimating and processing terminations, and managing periodical reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements, including payroll tax, super, and STP, across multiple states.
- Collaborate with the team to manage competing priorities and drive continuous improvement in payroll services.
- Develop and maintain accurate and timely reporting, including automated reporting.
- Relevant training and experience or qualification in payroll and/or accounting.
- Sound knowledge of payroll processing procedures and practices in multiple states and employment types.
- SAP systems experience, minimum 5 years.
- Ability to report and analyze payroll data using Spinifex.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Self-driven and proactive approach to problem-solving.
