Job Title: Strategic Procurement Leader

This is a key leadership opportunity to drive strategic transformation and deliver long-term impact in procurement and contracting.

  • Lead the design and delivery of a centre-led procurement and contracting model that achieves compliance, efficiency, and exceptional value-for-money.
  • Provide expertise in complex procurement, vendor performance, and contract lifecycle management.
  • Align procurement with the organisation's strategic goals, sustainability commitments, and Catholic Social Teaching values.
  • Build, inspire, and mentor a high-performing team with a strong commercial mindset and service excellence culture.
  • Drive supplier engagement and third-party contracting compliance, embedding probity, transparency, and strong governance.
About You

We seek an Executive level procurement and contracting leader who combines commercial acumen with values-based leadership. The ideal candidate will be a proven change leader with a track record of delivering results in complex or decentralised organisations.

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law, Finance, Procurement, or a related field are highly regarded.
  • Membership with CIPS, CPP, or an equivalent recognised procurement body is preferred.
  • Deep expertise in strategic sourcing, category management, procurement risk, and vendor assurance is essential.
  • Strong digital and systems capability with ERP/procurement platforms and analytics tools is required.
  • Proven success leading multidisciplinary teams and building organisational capability is necessary.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills are vital.
  • A commitment to ethical procurement, sustainability, and social responsibility is expected.
