Procurement Governance, Process and Systems Leader

The central coordinator for procurement governance and assurance is responsible for ensuring compliance, efficiency, and strategic sourcing outcomes across all spend exceeding $150K.

This pivotal role leads transformation initiatives to uplift procurement capability, streamline systems, and embed best practices across the organisation. You will bring clarity, structure, and innovation to the procurement landscape.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement procurement frameworks, tools, and training to enhance organisational performance.
  • Deliver assurance checks and audits to maintain governance and identify risks, providing expert advice on legislative and policy compliance.
  • Act as a key escalation point for procurement-related governance and risk issues, driving transformation and innovation initiatives to improve procurement systems and processes.
  • Support high-risk procurement activities and negotiations, collaborating across teams to align procurement initiatives and uplift capability.
  • Report on performance metrics and progress to senior leadership, demonstrating a deep understanding of government procurement policies and compliance frameworks.

To succeed in this role, you will possess minimum 10 years' experience in a procurement leadership position, with a strong background in governance, systems implementation, and process improvement. A demonstrated ability to lead in complex and evolving environments, combined with exceptional stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills, are essential requirements.
