Procurement Strategy Manager

Bring life to procurement strategies that drive organisational success. Contribute significantly to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of procurement strategy from needs assessment through to process development and system implementation.

  • Develop, implement and review benchmarking and evaluation methodologies across contracts to ensure agreements deliver or exceed expectations.
  • Report to Management on contract performance, highlighting issues or risks and providing recommendations for rectification strategies when required.
  • Oversee operational management of all contracts, maintaining a central register, liaising with authorities and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standards and policies.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide expert advice in contract deliverables and support strategic planning.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Completed Level 3 Procurement Certification (Diploma in Government - Procurement and Contracting) or Completed Level 4 Procurement Certification (Advanced Diploma of Government (Procurement and Contracting).
  • Extensive knowledge of procurement, contract management, administration, performance management, and Queensland Government public tendering.
  • Proven capacity to contribute to strategic planning through innovative problem-solving and understanding of contemporary procurement principles.
  • Effective communication skills demonstrating experience in stakeholder engagement and dispute resolution.
  • Successful delivery of programs through project management, negotiation, and collaboration.
  • Knowledge of Queensland Procurement Policy and relevant government regulations.
