The Opportunity

The APP Group is expanding its Defence sector capability hiring multiple Project Managers to support the Estate Works Program (EWP) as part of the Project Delivery Service (PDS) Contract in the Northern Territory.

As a Project Manager in our Defence team you'll work on impactful infrastructure projects that support strategic outcomes collaborating with a supportive and experienced team engaging with diverse stakeholders and playing a key role in delivering high-impact projects from planning through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project manage infrastructure projects on behalf of our client throughout all lifecycle stages: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Evaluate procurement activities for compliance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
  • Foster strong stakeholder relationships through proactive engagement.
  • Manage project documentation and reporting according to Defence and APP Group standards.
  • Deliver projects on time and within budget prioritizing risk management and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee handover/takeover (HOTO) processes and ensure timely project closeout.
  • Capture and share lessons learned to enhance future project delivery.
About You

To succeed in this role you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Engineering or Construction Management.
  • A current Baseline Security Clearance or ability to maintain one.
  • Proven experience managing construction projects preferably within the Defence or Government sector.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies like PMBOK PRINCE2 or Agile.
  • A strong understanding of government procurement practices and compliance standards.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
