Reliability engineering is a vital discipline that ensures the smooth operation of complex systems. At our open cut coal mining operation, we are seeking a talented and motivated Reliability Engineer to join our Asset Management team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing equipment performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities. They will lead root cause analysis investigations and develop strategies to enhance asset reliability. This role involves working closely with maintenance, operations, OEMs, and specialist contractors to implement sustainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyse equipment performance data to identify areas for improvement
  • Lead investigations into equipment failures and develop corrective actions
  • Develop and optimise asset management strategies
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement effective maintenance plans

Qualifications and Experience:
  • A mechanical or electrical trade qualification
  • A tertiary qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering (highly regarded)
  • Proven experience with heavy mobile equipment maintenance in an open cut mining environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
