About the Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Operations Coordinator to join our Maritime team at BAE Systems Australia.

The ideal candidate will support the Area Manager and Ship Manager in coordinating key phases of work during the Shipbuilding lifecycle, ensuring safe and efficient production activities.

This role is accountable for supporting Ship/Area/Installation Managers in delivering projects and area outputs within a manufacturing environment, in accordance with the developed plan.

The successful candidate will be responsible for organising activities and tasks for specific projects, coordinating de-confliction of production activities, and facilitating production issue resolution to minimize hold-ups to schedule.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a proven equivalent trade discipline or relevant experience;
  • Demonstrated experience in a heavy engineering or defence environment;
  • Ability to balance conflicting priorities to deliver against customer and business requirements;
  • Experience with stakeholder management;
  • Ability to adapt written and verbal communication skills to suit a variety of different audiences;
