About the Role
Cabrini Health Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Officer to join our team. As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for processing end-to-end payroll activities for over 4,000 employees across multiple sites in Melbourne's South East.
Key Responsibilities
- Action all activities connected to end-to-end payroll processing for each payrun, ensuring payments are made accurately and on time.
- Interpret and apply award conditions accurately.
- Administer approved changes to employee data, Workers' Comp payment, salary deductions, leave adjustments, tax and super variations, redundancy and termination calculations etc.
- Monitor the payroll ticketing system and respond to queries relating to employee entitlements in a timely manner.
- Deliver adhoc and month end reporting, back-pay calculations and leave and pay reconciliations as required.
Requirements
- Strong experience in processing end-to-end payroll in a large scale complex environment governed by multiple EBAs and awards.
- A Degree or Certificate III and/or IV in Accounting, HR or any other relevant field.
- Ability to interpret different awards and EBAs in an Australian work environment.
- Knowledge of Leave, payroll tax and Workcover and its application, particularly as it relates to payroll processing.
- Experience in Chris21/iChris Payroll system would be highly advantageous.
- Experience in Dimension/KRONOS system would also be advantageous.
- High level customer service skills including outstanding interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Sound numeracy skills, attention to detail and accuracy and proficiency in MS Office especially in Excel.
- Knowledge of current legislation (Superannuation, Industrial Relations, Taxation, Payroll etc.).
