A lecturer will focus on teaching, research and service. They will coordinate or lead staff activities, supervise students and achieve national recognition in their field of research.
This role encompasses research, course design, undergraduate teaching, postgraduate supervision and academic service.
Key Responsibilities:- Teaching: Develop and deliver courses, assess students and provide academic counselling.
- Research: Establish a research program, collaborate on projects, publish in reputable journals and seek impactful outcomes.
- Supervision and Researcher Development: Supervise Honours and postgraduate students and mentor others.
- Citizenship and Service: Develop partnerships, engage in internal service roles, perform administrative functions and uphold university values.
- A PhD in Feminist Philosophy (Continental/European)
- Demonstrated high quality teaching skills
- Demonstrated ability to teach and supervise in Feminist philosophy and Continental philosophy
- Desire and ability to teach into the Gender Studies program
- Evidence of an active research profile
- Willingness to share in discipline and School administration
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
