About the Role

As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in supporting individuals living with complex mental illnesses and other social challenges.

You will provide exceptional support to participants in their homes and communities, helping them achieve their goals, dreams, and aspirations by enhancing their participation and inclusion.

This will be achieved through the delivery and coordination of planned, person-centred activities, and the development and enhancement of independent living and social skills.

You may also be involved in advocating on behalf of support recipients and providing other assistance when necessary.

  • Deliver personal care

  • Transport clients
  • Organise appointments
  • Provide social assistance
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A willingness to undertake a 3 week training program to achieve a part-qualification
  • NDIS Worker Screening (or willing to obtain)
  • Current Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
  • National Police Clearance (within 6 months, or willing to obtain)
  • Right to Work in Australia
  • Current, unrestricted Driver's Licence
  • Reliable vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
  • First Aid and CPR qualifications (or willing to obtain)
