Shelter Operations Team Lead

As a seasoned professional, you will oversee the daily operations of our animal shelter. Your primary focus will be to create an environment where both animals and staff can thrive.
The Role Responsibilities- Ensure the efficient management of animal care, impounding, rehoming, and compliance with relevant legislation
- Spearhead team supervision, including rostering, task allocation, and performance management
- Drive strategic initiatives to enhance shelter operations, customer service, and employee development
- Cultivate partnerships with stakeholders to foster a positive team culture and promote animal welfare
- Certificate III in Companion Animal Services (or equivalent experience) and Cert IV in Leadership and Management
- A proven track record of leadership, supervising small teams, and managing performance
- Extensive knowledge of shelter operations, animal care, and relevant legislation
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills, allowing for effective prioritization and decision-making under pressure
