English as an Additional Language/Dialect Teaching Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated English as an Additional Language/Dialect Teacher to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a whole-school EAL/D direction, collaborating closely with school leadership and educators to ensure teaching and learning adjustments for EAL/D students.

A key focus of this role is supporting the improvement of literacy and numeracy outcomes of students with EAL/D needs through suitable intervention and differentiation strategies.

This position will also involve liaison with external agencies to ensure comprehensive planning for EAL/D students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a whole-school EAL/D strategy to support student learning
  • Collaborate with school leaders and educators to ensure effective teaching and learning adjustments for EAL/D students
  • Support the development of literacy and numeracy skills in EAL/D students through targeted interventions and differentiation strategies
  • Liaise with external agencies to ensure comprehensive planning for EAL/D students

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience teaching EAL/D and a strong understanding of the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) and WA curriculum
  • Exceptional organisational skills, including the ability to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks, and maintain accurate records
  • Ability to analyse data to inform planning and practice that improves outcomes for students
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
