Job Title: Communications Advisor

We're on a mission to revolutionize the flying experience, and we need a talented Communications Advisor to help us achieve our goal.

About the Role

The Communications Advisor will play a crucial role in planning and delivering effective internal and external communication strategies to support the positive reputation of Virgin Australia and its services.

This includes assisting with the development and implementation of proactive internal and external communication programs across all of Virgin Australia Group's communication channels.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in communications, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and journalists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the development and implementation of internal and external communication programs
  • Plan and manage internal and external events as required
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and journalists
  • Monitor media and internal communications channels, elevating issues as necessary
  • Work collaboratively with the Corporate Affairs team and other departments
What We're Looking For

We're looking for a highly organized and motivated individual with a passion for internal and employee communications in an exciting, issues-rich industry.

The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Communications or a minimum of 2 years' experience in a communications/public relations role.

Previous experience in a fast-paced corporate environment or event management is highly desirable.
