Senior Business Systems Leader

We are seeking a senior business systems leader to join our corporate head office. The role involves managing the SAP based enterprise resource planning ecosystem, health and safety systems, and other business applications.

The ideal candidate will have strong SAP experience and a proven track record of leading complex application projects, managing vendor delivery teams and driving improvements in information systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership
  1. Plan, lead and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Business Systems team
  2. Coordinate and project manage external vendors performing technical work
  3. Lead and own the IT Business Systems strategy, planning and performance to deliver business outcomes
Application Management
  1. Develop and implement the Business Systems roadmap
  2. Work with stakeholders across the organization to identify business system requirements and ensure that the systems meet those needs
Process Improvement
  1. Identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization and implement changes as needed
  2. Develop and implement policies and procedures for the use of business systems to ensure their security, reliability and effectiveness
Servicing and Support
  1. Collaborate with IT staff and vendors to maintain and upgrade business systems, including system updates and patches, hardware and software upgrades and integrations with other systems
  2. Oversee overall support processes (service request capture and prioritization, issue resolution, root cause analysis)
Change Management
  1. Participate in the Change Advisory Board for application-related changes
  2. Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning and manage disaster recovery testing
