Perioperative Services Director

As the Perioperative Services Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in an operating theatre environment.
This role entails managing 11 operating theatres across various surgical specialties, including Urology, Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, General and upper GI surgeries, Colorectal and endoscopy, plastics and reconstructive surgery, Maxillo-facial and ENT, Cardiothoracic, and hepatic-biliary - all-inclusive of Robotics surgeries.
You will work closely with the Executive Team to shape organisational strategy, enhance procedural service provision and achieve departmental and hospital strategic objectives.
- Current registration with AHPRA is essential
- Extensive current clinical practice in perioperative role (minimum 5 years) is required
- Recent theatre management experience is highly desirable
- Graduate Certification/Diploma in Perioperative Nursing is advantageous
- Able to build rapport with VMOs and staff
- Commitment to improvement and excellence in delivery of outcomes
- Responsible for OHS and leadership in risk minimisation
- Ongoing activity analysis
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage resources and implement sustainable change is a plus. Graduate Certification/Diploma in Perioperative Nursing and Masters in Business Management/ Health Administration are also beneficial.
