
Community Transformation Specialist

As a senior community development professional, your key responsibility will be to lead the implementation of our Community Services and Housing Strategy across our HopeStreet Hub. This involves driving community-led change and transformation through collaborative approaches and co-design.
">Your Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team that works towards community transformation through community listening, engagement, and partnership in the Hunter Region.
- Play a crucial part in nurturing the growth and development of place-based, community-led approaches.
- Provide strategic team leadership to bring about impactful and sustainable change through place-based collaboration and co-design.
**Essential qualifications and experience:**
- Degree or post-grad qualifications in Community Development, Social Work, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years working in a Community Services environment and Community Development.
- Current NSW Driver's Licence.
- Hold a current Working with Children Check.
- Hold a current First Aid Certificate or be willing to obtain one.
**Essential competencies:**
- Demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of our organisation's Christian identity and promote our values through interactions at work.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and work as part of a team.
- Ability in creating, developing, and implementing program plans within the Practice Frameworks of the Community Service Sector.
- High level of negotiation skills and the ability to liaise with key stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including computer skills.
- Demonstrate problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrate mediation knowledge and skills.
