About the Role:
- Analyse and address product enhancement opportunities with the Product Manager
- Work effectively with Legal to execute feedback, assess terms, conditions, and analyse impact & product gaps to ensure wordings are fit for purpose and compliant
- Consider customer and market lenses in developing wording recommendations and coverage options
- Integrate understanding of distribution and market dynamics into document design considerations (including endorsements, Certificate of Currency and other components of the cover contract)
- Align this Program of Work to ensure Commercial Products and their management comply with Suncorp's Product and Platform standards and the Regulatory risk environment
- Ensure that Commercial products are suitable for our target market customers and segments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain commercial insurance products that meet customer needs and comply with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product development aligns with business objectives
- Provide expert advice on product development and maintenance to stakeholders
Requirements:
- Experience working in General Insurance wording development
- A technical background working with a range of insurance product wordings
- An eye for detail as well as a pragmatic approach demonstrating well-developed commercial acumen
- Experience in General Insurance Technical Claims or Underwriting
- Strong Insurance policy wording drafting skills, particularly the ability to write in plain language and undertake sustained periods of editing and review
- General Insurance Legal Experience desirable
