Grain protection specialists play a crucial role in safeguarding the quality and integrity of grain throughout its lifecycle. As a dedicated Grain Protection Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing grain fumigation activities across our region.

The Job Description

In this pivotal role, you will be working closely with our team to maintain the highest standards of grain protection and safety. Your primary duties will include:

  • Fulfilling fumigations according to established protocols
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless operations and effective risk mitigation strategies
  • Providing critical support in maintaining accurate records of pesticide stock, fumigation activities, and adherence to regulations
  • Liaising with Grain Technology to verify compliance with relevant standards and codes of practice
  • Contributing to Receival Points Operator tasks, encompassing grain receipt, storage, and outloading, as well as maintenance and operation of storage facilities

A deep commitment to prioritizing workplace safety is indispensable for success in this position. Furthermore, you will be required to develop your expertise in all facets of Grain Protection, including licencing and training in Fumigation, Dangerous Goods Management, and Pesticide Safety.
