About This Role
  • We are looking for an experienced supervisor to lead a team of staff, providing expert guidance and direction to ensure the efficient operation of the Food Services Department.
  • Key responsibilities include:
  1. Staff Management: Supervise and manage staff to guarantee seamless departmental operations.
  2. Resource Allocation: Allocate resources effectively to meet the needs of patients and staff, promoting a positive work environment.
  3. Ordering/Procurement: Source and procure food and supplies as needed, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
  4. Food Safety: Ensure the safe handling and preparation of food, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
  5. Quality and Functional Supervision: Maintain high standards of quality and cleanliness in the Food Services Department, fostering a culture of excellence.
Essential Criteria
  • Proven track record in a supervisory or leadership role within a kitchen, healthcare facility, or hotel environment.
  • Exceptional leadership skills to develop staff and deliver superior service.
  • Commitment to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills to effectively communicate with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Experience with rostering, staffing, and staff supervision.
  • Ability to handle enquiries and resolve complaints efficiently.
  • Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with staff, patients, and external partners.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing priorities and demands.
