We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager - Corporate to join our Group Finance team at Mynrma, a leading member-owned organization in Australia. As a trusted advisor, you will provide commercial and decision support analysis, delivering key insights from costing trends and drivers.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will partner with various business functions, including Technology, People & Culture, Property, Finance & Operations, Legal, Governance & Investments. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Financial Leadership: Attend leadership forums to present key financial and operational metrics against targets.
  • Strategic Analysis: Conduct regular sessions with the Chief Technology Officer to evaluate the financial implications of the Technology strategy and operating model.
  • Financial Modeling: Build financial models to support technology initiatives, understand scenarios, and options for initiatives, and provide validation of business cases.
  • Operational Excellence: Provide guidance on optimal operating models to support future demand/capex considerations.
  • Vendor Selection: Provide commercial support and recommendations on vendor selection.
  • Risk Management: Identify areas of financial risk and opportunities to maximize efficiency and service.
  • Forecasting and Budgeting: Create and operate financial models that help with forecasting and budgeting.
  • Strategic Planning: Provide commercial support to the strategic planning process.
  • Annual Budgeting: Development and sign-off of annual budgets and robust quarterly RF forecasts.
  • Recharge Model: Development and ownership of the recharge model for shared services and network allocations.
  • Performance Reporting: Produce, review, and deliver monthly performance packs with analysis and insights against targets and objectives.
  • Ad-hoc Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc deep dives and analysis into risks and opportunities for each corporate functional area.
  • Reporting and Tracking: Continue to seek improvements in the reporting and tracking of performance.
  • Labour Spend and FTEs: Track labour spend and FTEs against target and ensure staff capitalization in line with policy.
  • Supplier Spend and SLAs: Manage overall supplier spend and SLAs.

As a successful candidate, you will bring:

  • Professional Qualifications: Degree qualifications and CPA/CA qualified.
  • Commercial Experience: 3-5 years' experience working in commercial management in a large organization, preferably in a similar industry sector.
  • Reporting and Presentation Skills: Strong reporting and presentation skills.
  • Financial Analysis and Modeling Skills: Attention to detail with strong financial analysis and modeling skills.
  • Stakeholder Management: Demonstrable experience in managing senior stakeholder relationships.
  • Commercial Judgement: Ability to critically evaluate proposals and opportunities and offer commercial judgements.
  • Financial Tools: Proficient use of financial and reporting tools (Oracle, TM1).
