Job Description

As a seasoned Risk and Compliance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of risk strategy, protecting the organisation, and safeguarding those they serve.

This leadership position requires a seasoned professional with strong influencing and negotiation skills to lead a team of five. Your key responsibilities include defining and implementing a robust incident response framework, providing trusted advice to senior leadership, and driving strategic initiatives that elevate risk maturity across the business.

You will work closely with senior leaders and the Board to ensure the organisation is well-protected through effective insurance placements and supplier relationships.

Main Responsibilities
  • Define Incident Response Framework: Develop and implement an incident response framework that ensures the right people know what to do when something goes wrong.
  • Lead Policy Development: Lead the development and review of policies, procedures, and systems to ensure alignment with legislation and support decision-making from the front line to the Boardroom.
  • Insurance Strategy: Develop and implement an insurance strategy, working with brokers on renewals, placements, and claims to ensure the organisation is properly covered across all its services.
  • Team Mentorship: Mentor and drive continuous improvement within the team, fostering a culture of excellence in risk management and compliance.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in risk management, legal or commercial background.
  • Proven experience leading and implementing a risk and compliance function.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills with high levels of commerciality and pragmatism.
