Hudson is seeking a talented Policy Officer to join our team and contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies that promote social and emotional wellbeing.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a tertiary qualification in health or relevant professional experience to make a real impact. As a Policy Officer, you will play a key role in supporting research, stakeholder engagement, and project support to deliver evidence-based policy recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Policy Development: Assist in researching and analysing policy issues to create high-quality policy briefs, papers, and submissions.
  • Research: Support data collection and analysis activities to inform policy recommendations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Participate in stakeholder meetings and forums to gather feedback and foster meaningful relationships.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare reports, briefing documents, and presentations to clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Project Support: Provide assistance to policy-related projects to ensure tasks are completed effectively and align with team objectives.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to the team's success by sharing insights and learnings from research and engagement activities.
  • Professional Development: Stay informed of emerging trends and best practices to enhance your expertise.

What We're Looking For:

  • A tertiary qualification in health or relevant professional experience.
  • Proven ability to deliver strategies that achieve measurable outcomes in the not-for-profit or public policy space.
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently, even under pressure.
  • Understanding of policy development to assist in creating high-quality, evidence-based recommendations.
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders effectively to build strong relationships and foster collaboration on policy initiatives.

Earnings Potential: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
