Medical Receptionist Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced medical receptionist to join our team. This part-time, permanent role will provide essential support to a solo ENT surgeon.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage all incoming and outgoing communications, including phone calls, emails, and patient enquiries
  • Welcome patients to the practice, coordinate appointments, cancellations, and rescheduling using Genie software.
  • Prepare clinics, including billing and receipting of patient consultations
  • Assist with theatre quotations, bookings, and preparation of theatre lists
  • Medical typing of general letters, surgical reports, and medicolegal correspondence

Requirements:

  • At least 1-3 years experience in a similar specialist environment
  • Previous medical typing experience
  • Strong understanding of Medicare, DVA, WorkCover, and Private Health Fund billing processes
  • Team player who can work independently and contribute effectively to a small team setting
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in Genie software for practice and patient management
  • Clear, concise, and professional communication skills
