
Family Support Specialist

The Child and Youth Healthy Minds Program offers mental health support for children and young people (ages 0-18) and their families. We provide tailored support and flexible outreach options to promote effective early intervention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to children, young people, and their families in a manner consistent with Anglicare's values and practice principles.
- Demonstrate high levels of communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with service users, family members, colleagues, other service providers, and stakeholders.
- Accurately document and maintain records.
- Utilize relevant information and communication technologies.
- Work autonomously within organisational policy and procedures.
- Develop and reflect on professional practice.
- Network and collaborate with stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Understanding of processes that people use to overcome adversity/distress arising from life challenges.
- Ability to recognise and understand individuals' intrinsic resourcefulness.
- Knowledge of a broad range of disabilities and mental health areas, with a keenness to learn.
- Well-developed networking skills.
